The New York team have opened the score, when Luke Rodgers has managed to score in 4th minute. New York sufferd a blow when midfielder T. Tainio was ruled out (in the 16th minute).
L.A. Galaxy scored twice, by Mike Magee in 42th minute and by Landon Donovan in 75th minute (penalty kick).
L.A. Galaxy will face Real Salt Lake, on Sunady, November 06, on the strength of a 3-1 agregate victory.

New York team remained aggressive throught the match but it couldn’t find a way to score against the L.A. Galaxy.

Alvaro Saborio scored twice (in the 41st, 52nd )Ned Grabovoy scored in 87th and Salt Lake obtained victory by 3-0 in front of Seattle, in the first leg of their Western Conference semifinals series.
Salt Lake controlled possession throught much of the first half. Alvaro Saborio finally took advantage of his team in the 42nd minute.
Now, Salt Lake is ready to prove it can be an Major League Soccer title contender once again.

Sporting Kansas City will face the Colorado Rapids at 6.00 p.m. CT on Sunday, Oct. 30 at Dickțs Sporting Goods Park. These teams will meet in the first leg of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
This match will be broadcast nationally on FOX Soccer.
This will be the 4 th time the 2 teams have met in the postseason.
